Foraging
Responsible harvesting is done through awareness, knowledge and respect. Celeste is a certified mushroom expert (MDARD) with broad knowledge of wild edibles, natives and invasives in the plant and fungi kingdoms. On her foraging walks, she can help you get acquainted with what's growing year-round and what's seasonally available.
Public group classes are listed below, sign up using the form or email us directly. Private classes are also available upon request.

Disclaimer: While there is always something to find in the woods, we can't guarantee to find any particular mushroom or plant. Foraging is, in part, just seeing what is available and how the ecosystem of an area is doing. All foods come with a risk of gastrointestinal upset; we will warn you of any likely culprits but it is up to you to try any food in small doses at first. Wild mushrooms always need to be fully cooked before consuming. Don't worry, we'll remind you in person too.
